About
A clearer view of the UK bridging market.
BridgingToday exists to make a fast-moving, often opaque corner of property finance easier to see.
Why we started
Bridging finance moves quickly. A deal can go from enquiry to completion in a matter of days, and the market around it changes just as fast. Lenders adjust their appetite, rates shift, and new names appear.
Yet finding out what is really happening has always been harder than it should be. Criteria sit in rate sheets and inboxes. Deal news travels by word of mouth. Which lender will do what, and for whom, is often something you learn by asking around, and that favours the people who already know.
A market works better when the people in it can see it clearly.
That is why we started BridgingToday. We wanted one place where the market is set out in the open: who the lenders are and how they lend, which deals are getting done, and what it all means, reported plainly and without the spin.
We think more transparency is good for everyone in the chain. Brokers can place cases with more confidence, lenders are judged on what they actually do, and borrowers end up with better outcomes. So we publish what we can, we show our working, and when we get something wrong we say so and put it right.
Our code
Four words we hold ourselves to in everything we publish.
Transparency
Who is lending, on what terms and at what scale should be easy to find. We publish it plainly, with the detail left in.
Clarity
News, deals and lender profiles together, so you don't have to piece the market together from a dozen sources.
Accountability
If something is wrong, tell us. Every lender, deal and story page has a way to report a problem, and we act on it.
Expertise
Brokers, lenders and advisers don't need bridging explained. We write for the people who do it every day.
