Who they are

Octane Capital was recently acquired by Aldermore Bank. Established in 2017, our founders, Jonathan Samuels and Matt Smith, were also behind successful specialist lender Dragonfly Property Finance. We offer bridging, refurbishment and developer exit finance with one of the cheapest rates in the market (0.69% per month, BBR linked). We are proud to have lent over £2.2bn since inception.

Their ethos

Our emphasis is on certainty, delivery and service. In terms of certainty, our funding is from our parent company, Aldermore Bank. For delivery, we have assembled one of the market’s most experienced teams to ensure we have the best chance of delivering for your clients. When it comes to service, whether it’s providing credit-backed terms in two hours, fully underwriting new applications in 48 hours or responding to all underwriting queries within 24 hours, we believe we provide industry-leading levels.

What they specialise in

We focus on short-term finance secured on residential and semi-commercial property. We fund refurbishment projects of all shapes and sizes – including light, heavy, structural and change-of-use projects. We also have a strong appetite for developer exit loans, including those not yet at practical completion.
